Proclamation by Frederick VII, King of Denmark, Duke of Schleswig, Holstein ... for the Duchy Schleswig, concerning the act on shipping and trade on Iceland of April 15, 1854

“ Henceforth all home merchants shall be free to freight alien ships for their trade on Iceland. Likewise it shall be allowed to alien ships which are not freight by Danish subjects to call at the following ports on Iceland … Further the subjects of foreign states shall be allowed henceforth to sail all authorized trading places on Iceland and to do trade there. ”

Furthermore especially on procedure & legality of the Icelandic sea passports to be bought for both the trade as voyages between Icelandic ports. Also penalty duties are possible for ships and freights from countries which on their part request higher duties than the Danish crown. Further considering the certificates that neither on board nor in the last port of clearance infectious diseases are rife.

Danish-German parallel text. – Title & white concluding page not absolutely fresh and especially towards the end slightly foxing. Stitching backed acid-freely on c. 4 cm below.
