Life Boat – Lindner, Ferdinand (marine and landscape painter, Dresden 1847 – Berlin 1906). Stormy Wadden Sea. Launching the Life Boat. The horses spanned to the boat cart shying and balking at the rolling sea, between the clouds the full moon. Wood engraving for Adolf Closs, Stuttgart. (1880-81.) Inscribed in the stock: F. L. / A. Closs. X. I., otherwise typographically as above. 17.5 x 23.6 cm. – Rare scenery.
