Shallows Ewer

Shallows Ewer. The “William of Dagebüll” with a cargo of wood on the upper deck, lying at half tide at the quay of the North Frisian harbour. On the quay carriage and pair, a two-masted galliot coming up the tidal inlet. In one of the two boats in the foreground angler, on board of the “William of Dagebüll” as on the quay figurines. Wood engraving after Gustav Schoenleber (Bietigheim 1851 – Karlsruhe 1917) for Kaeseberg & Oertel, Leipsic (?). (1880-81.) 9¼ × 7⅛ in (23.5 × 18 cm).
